Here's my story and I'm stickin' to it...

The Beav

Even as a young beaver I knew I would be famous. I was never happy with the ordinary things around the damn place. I wanted to perform, to travel and meet new people. My father, Beavador, and my mother, Beavatte were always scolding me, and saying Beavy be happy with your damn world. My sister Beavanne, and brother Beavnor were always teasing me and laughing when I would strike a pose and stand to wait for applause. And when I asked them to follow my out of the damn place they would look at me in horror. How could I want to leave a wonderful damn place like ours? But I did, and on my 2nd birthday, I left the damn swamp for good.

My first stop was an exotic looking place called Town of Maine. I met up with a great bunch of guys who drank and played cards at night and never did mind that I was a beaver. They let me pose all I wanted and even seemed excited to have me as part of their party.

But one day, as I was practicing my very best look, two strange women came in. One was thin with silver strands in her hair; the other had fire in her hair and laughed a lot. I thought I should say something to them, but before I could, they threw me into a bag and hauled me away. I knew we were traveling a long way and would have loved to see where were going but they would not let me out.

When the truck finally stopped they hauled me to a doorway and let me go. It took awhile for my eyes to adjust, but when I could see, I decided this wasn’t too bad of a place to be. It smelled a little skunky (different story), but I was used to that from the damn swamp. I was just working on a new pose near some bales of hay when this woman comes in humming to herself. She really did not look at me at first and than suddenly she is screaming her head off. I was so frightened I just held my pose and hoped she would leave. She did, but I heard her on the phone really upset and hollering at someone. When she finally did come back, she had a man with her and she was really mad. Little did I know, this was one of the best things to ever happen to my career?

Once the woman settled down, she told the man something about a plan and she would be back soon. When she came back she had the most beautiful set of clothes with her I had ever seen. She kept laughing and talking about the people at St. Vinny’s, but I didn’t understand that and didn’t care. I was way too happy with my new outfit and to top it all off, I had new glasses. I was IT, I was ready to perform, and right than decided to change my name to

‘THE BEAV’.

Once my mentor had me dressed and in a carrier, much more befitting to someone of my talent, she took me on a short ride. I was not real happy when she put me a small out of the way room, but soon realized that must be my dressing room where I would wait until my audience arrived. I was soon found by a silver haired lady and a women with long thin legs* who seemed to some sort of an instructor. They soon took me out to my crowd who were so impressed with me that they could only gasp in wonder. Several commented on what strange friends they must have, and I took all this as just jealousy over my stunning new look.
